On Monday, the court learned phone records and data retrieved from phones logged Ms Wandelt persistently asking Madeleine's mother for a DNA test over 2023 and 2024.

Madeleine's disappearance in 2007 - at the age of three during a family holiday in Portugal - is considered the most widely reported missing child cases and continues to be open.

'I Do Not Need Money'

A separate voicemail, shared in court, captured Ms Wandelt saying: "I know I'm overweight and unattractive like Madeleine had been, but I know what I believe."

While another instance of Ms Wandelt's one-way conversations with Mrs McCann's answerphone stated: "Imagine there is a small chance that I am she? What happens next? Wouldn't that be crucial for you?"

"I don't want money, I possess a existence here in Poland, I just want to understand," the message continued.

The tribunal was informed that via emails, SMS messages and calls, Ms Wandelt asked for a genetic test, sent early photographs to her phone in a effort to demonstrate a likeness to Mrs McCann's missing daughter, and claimed to have "flashbacks" from a childhood with the McCanns.

An intelligence analyst, an investigator with the police force who compiled the information, informed the court there "seemed to lack any replies" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt also reached out to close associates of the McCanns, according to the phone records.

On October 9th, 2024, the father answered a phone call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, declaring she had "incorrect contact information."

During that incident Ms Wandelt left a voicemail on Mrs McCann's answerphone stating "I won't give up and I plan to establish my point."

The court heard Mrs Spragg struck up a connection through digital means with Ms Wandelt prior to accompanying her on a trip to the McCanns' property in that area in December 2024.

Communication data demonstrated Mrs Spragg had communicated through WhatsApp to Mrs McCann to say the news outlets had portrayed Ms Wandelt as "mentally unstable" but that she should be taken seriously in the months before the visit to that location, the county, in that winter.

The court was told correspondence between the two accused, in November 2024, planning attempting to get Mrs McCann's DNA samples from her bins or from cutlery at a restaurant.

"We must make a stand," the co-defendant informed Ms Wandelt.

On the occasion of the visit to their house, the defendant dispatched a text which expressed: "We are positioned near the McCanns' residence with our vehicle dark similar to detectives. I wanted to accomplish this with someone else I never thought I would be engaged in this with the McCanns."

The case proceeds.
