The Red Devils, coming off victories against Sunderland and Liverpool, are targeting three Premier League wins in a row tonight. The wind’s behind them managed by Ruben Amorim now more than ever!
Only problem is, Brighton are the Seagulls, who have won on each of their last three trips at Manchester United’s home, winning six from seven encounters between the clubs.
Despite United’s form; Brighton have found relatively easy. Having said all that, the visitors are also consistently inconsistent like United, therefore the fixture appears competing and maybe highly entertaining.
Kick-off is at 17:30 BST one last mention as the clocks go back this evening, folks. It’s on!
Manchester United: Lammens, Yoro starts, de Ligt, Shaw at the back, Diallo included, Casemiro, Fernandes leading, Dalot, Mbeumo attacking, Cunha, Sesko.
Subs: Bayindir, Mazraoui, Mount, Zirkzee, Malacia, Dorgu, Ugarte, Heaven, Mainoo.
The Seagulls: Verbruggen between the posts, Wieffer, van Hecke starting, Dunk captain, Kadioglu, Baleba in midfield, Ayari, Minteh, Rutter, De Cuyper, Welbeck.
Substitutes: Steele, Tzimas, Watson, Kostoulas, Milner, Boscagli, Gomez, Coppola, Oriola.
Official: Anthony Taylor (from Cheshire).
Video Assistant Referee: Michael Oliver (Northumberland).
Manchester United make two changes after last week’s victory against Liverpool. Benjamin Šeško comes in for Mason Mount, now on the substitutes, and the match-winner Maguire misses out entirely, Yoro steps in at the back.
Maguire picked up an injury during training this week. Malacia makes the squad on the bench in 2025-26.
Brighton & Hove Albion make one alteration after their 2-1 home win over Newcastle. Seemingly a tactical shift, swapping in De Cuyper replacing Gómez, on the bench.
Danny Welbeck, formerly of United that lifted the title in 2012-13, returns to Old Trafford on a hot streak with four recent goals, an improvement on over his last 15 matches.
Ruben Amorim doesn’t much care regarding comments from Liverpool’s boss … while Welbeck is focused regarding the plans from the German coach.
It is widely discussed that this match might affect their campaigns during the league continues.
Key players to watch are the captain for United and Danny Welbeck for the visitors, each performing well lately.
